You may not
think about it, but a resume is the most important writing that
you will do in your growing career. Your worth as a perspective
employee will be measured by the resume you write.
An effective
resume can open doors. A poorly written will effectively close them
- the goal of an effective resume is to get you an interview. Once
you have the interview, the resume has done its job. You're now
one-on-one with the employer. Whether you get the job or not will
now depend upon how well you manage to impress and convince the
employer.
An employer
will receive hundreds of applications and resumes. There is no way
that they will interview all the applicants. You have to make sure
your resume sparkles and shines in the vast heap on the employer's
desk.
You have the
skills and ambition to land that job - but something always falls
short; things just don't click. Work on your resume.
